Nice Pad: Cher is moving on
Cher's Italian Renaissance style Malibu mansion has been put on the market.
It's a stunning 14,000 - 17,000 sq. ft (depending on who you talk to) structure.
The price is $45 million, quite a bit, but certainly not your average home.
Consider Donald Trump's Palm Beach property sold for $95 million just the other day - granted it is a 60,000 square ft. residence, but Malibu is a bit more desirable than Palm Beach to my mind.
Shown above and below (top) is the pool which seems to overflow into the Pacific Ocean. The gorgeous landscaping was designed in collaboration with designer Ron Wilson.
“The infinity-edge pool is where I spend all of my time in the summer,” Cher (62) told Architectural Digest back in 2002 about the spot.
The property offers six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a theater, a gym, multiple verandas, a tennis court and a pool.
The home was built in 1992, and at one time housed Cher's large collection of English Gothic Revival antiques. She auctioned these off a couple years ago.
Cher bought a condo in Los Angeles a couple years ago - perhaps she's heading there after the sale of this home?
